Since current therapeutics has not yet been successful, it is necessary to develop a novel therapeutic strategy that either prevent or delay the disease progression. Inhibition of α-syn aggregation including promoting ubiquitin-mediated degradation of α-syn is one of effective disease modifications. The ubiquitin ligase Rsp5 is involved in the degradation of abnormal or unfavorable proteins in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. This study aimed to establish a yeast-based assay and screen for compounds alleviating α-syn toxicity. We established a powerful yeast-based assay using rsp5A401E mutant, which is hypersensitive to α-syn aggregation, and further overexpressed GFP-fused α-syn leading to growth inhibition of the resultant strain. Upon screening using the developed yeast-based assay, ASCY130, an active compound isolated from Stephania suberosa Forman, was the most potent compound with minimal effective concentration at 1.56 µg/ml. It may be a potential lead compound for the design of therapeutic agent for PD treatment.High entropy metal oxides (HEOs) are materials that exhibit high stability and perform good catalytic performance. In corporation of earth-abundant metals especially alkali-earth metals into HEO could lead to materials with high catalytic performance in a lower production cost. In this article, MgNiCoCuZn HEO was selected to demonstrate this hypothesis. MgNiCoCuZn HEO was prepared using two different approaches, high temperature solid state reaction and hydrothermal method. Features of HEO, including pure single crystalline phase and uniformly distribution of the metal compositions, were obtained from both methods as confirmed using X-ray diffraction and Scanning Electron Microscope equipped with X-ray Energy Dispersive Spectroscope. Hydrothermal method yielded the HEO of smaller size and spherical shape with lower preparation temperature. The HEOs performed as electrochemical catalyst when used in carbon electrode as the resulted electrodes exhibited substantially lower in overpotential in oxygen evolution reaction. Earth-abundant HEOs have potential to used as catalysts for further studies. There are over 60 basins have a petroleum potential in Thailand, and some of these basins have operated for petroleum production. These north-south Cenozoic basins are formed by movement on the north-south trending normal faults, which proposed to be related to movement of strike-slip zones including the Three Pagodas shear zone in Western Thailand. The 9 samples of quartz mylonites within the northwest-southeast trending Three Pagodas shear zone in Kanchanaburi province, Western Thailand were selected for crystallographic preferred orientation (CPO) analysis to understanding the structural evolution of the
