However, fossil sources’ demand is still dominant. The potential of renewable energy sources (RES) plays a fundamental role in enhancing energy independence and sustainability. This study examines the variation of the RES potential of West Java Province in Indonesia at the local level. Spatial multi-criteria decision analysis using the Analytic Hierarchy Process was applied. Criteria and restrictions were defined and combined to identify potential areas for establishing single or combined wind power, solar power, and biomass energy source. It can be found that RES potential in West Java has about 3.70%, 62.96%, and 25.93% with high suitable, moderately suitable, and low suitable, respectively. These results can be input for policy decision-makers, planners, private sectors, and relevant stakeholders to manage RES and contribute to regional energy spatial planning.Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) is one of economically importance species in Indonesian aquaculture. Several methods have been developed to control its reproduction for cost-effective production and papaya seeds, major plant by-products, have potentials. MicroRNAs (miRNA) are a class of small non-coding RNAs (18–25 nucleotides) that function in RNA silencing and post-transcriptional regulation of gene expression. Using Next Generation Sequencing, this study aims to determine the effects of papaya seeds extract exposure on miRNAs transcriptome profile and the miRNA signatures involved in regulation of gonadal maturity and growth. Results showed that C. papaya powder was effective at increasing (P < 0.05) growth performance compared to the control treatment. Current results showed that C. papaya seed powder supplementation has growth-promoting effects. But our team are still waiting for the results of histopathological and miRNA analysis. Hopefully, the findings of this study will contribute scientifically as well as provide information on the improvement of fisheries. The feed of chlor-alkali plant (CAP) is a hypersaline solution contains up to 300 g/L sodium chloride obtained by dissolution of industrial salt in water. As an alternative, SWRO brine can be utilized as the CAP feed solution. In this research, brine water model solution was used to produce CAP feed. Pre-treatment of the brine water model solution by nanofiltration (NF) membrane removed the impurities with Ca2+ and Mg2+ rejection of 60% and 65%, respectively. Further concentration of NF permeate by Membrane distillation (MD) at varied feed temperature and permeate velocity was conducted. At feed temperature of 70oC and permeate velocity of 0.4 m/s, salt concentration with concentration of 312 g/L was achieved. High quality fresh water was also produced, added up the advantages of the process. Operation condition, feed concentration and composition were greatly affected the MD performance, therefore, need to be carefully assessed.
