旭硝子財団　助成研究成果報告（2023）本研究では，低中所得国の農村部など医療へのアクセスが困難な地域においても，母子が妊娠期から生後／産後まで継続的にケアを受けられるよう，ICTを活用した母子の遠隔健診システムを開発した．また，これをバングラデシュにおいて実施し，実施前と比較し，健康問題に対する医療的ケアを受けた母子の割合が改善するかを調べた．この結果，生後／産後12ヶ月までの遠隔健診を受けた母子では，医療サービスへのアクセス改善の傾向が見られた．これにより，母児の健康問題が早期に発見され，速やかに治療へとつながることが期待される．We developed an ICT-based telehealth care system to ensure the continuum of care of mothers and children, even in remote areas of low- and middle-income countries where access to healthcare is limited. Furthermore, we implemented the system in Bangladesh and compared the percentage of those who received health care before and after the telehealth care intervention. As a result, access to health care was improved after the tele-health care intervention. In addition, the telehealth care system may enable early detection and treatment of health problems in mothers and children.ガーナをはじめとするサハラ以南のアフリカ諸国では，国や地域の経済に欠かせないアブラヤシやカカオなどの商品作物の環境・社会経済的パフォーマンスを向上させる手段として，認証基準が広く普及・採用されている．本研究は，政治生態学の視点から，ガーナにおけるアブラヤシとカカオの認証のアプローチとその結果について明確な実証的証拠を提供する．その結果，認証は，非政治的な市場ベースの手段とはほど遠く，複数の空間的・時間的スケールで機能するため，重要な社会経済的・政治的影響を持ち，疎外と社会的分化に重要な意味を持ち，その促進と採用には非常に異なる物語が伴うことが示唆された．Certification standards have been widely promoted and adopted across Sub-Saharan Africa countries such as Ghana, as a means of improving the environmental and socioeconomic performance of commodity crops such as oil palm and cocoa that are indispensable for national and local economies. This research adopts a political ecology lens to provide clear empirical evidence on the approach and implications of oil palm and cocoa certification in Ghana.
